A 19-year-old has died after being stabbed early Sunday in Outremont.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident, which took place around 12:35 a.m. on Ducharme Ave., thanks to a 911 call.
Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said the young man was stabbed during an altercation with multiple people.
He was transported to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
It was the city’s 33rd homicide of the year.
The investigation was transferred to the SPVM’s major crimes unit, Brabant said, adding a command post was established on Ducharme Ave. and forensic technicians had been dispatched to assist investigators.
No arrests have been made.
