Environment Canada has issued a number of special weather statements ahead of an expected snowstorm in Quebec this weekend.
Regions north of the Saint Lawrence could get anywhere between 15 and 30 centimetres of snow.
Montreal, meanwhile, might only get up to 15 centimetres of snow. But it might not last.
Environment Canada says “the snow could be interrupted by a period of rain late Saturday” in the metropolis and in regions south of the Saint Lawrence.
The weather agency’s forecast for the city shows temperatures between 1 and 3 C on Saturday and 0 and -9 C on Sunday.
If the rain doesn’t melt everything, it could be a great weekend to check out one of Montreal’s many beautiful cross-country ski trails.
