New Brunswick is reporting fewer than 300 active cases of COVID-19 for the first time since mid-January.
The province announced 12 new cases Saturday, and 41 more recoveries, dropping the total of active cases to 283.
Four of the new cases were discovered in the Moncton health zone, one in the Fredericton region, and the other seven were found in the Edmundston area.
Public Health also announced another death related to COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 18. The patient was someone in their 80s in the Edmundston health zone.
There are currently three New Brunswickers in hospitals province-wide, two of whom are in the ICU.
Public Health announced new guidelines for residents living in zones in the orange phase at a press briefing Friday.
