Weather: Triple winter threat takes direct aim at Ontario

It looks like there could be some more winter weather on the way for parts of the province today.

Environment Canada has issued several winter weather alerts in southern Ontario including Halton-Peel, warning of 5 to 10 cm of snow and treacherous conditions.

The snowfall is expected to begin after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, says Environment Canada.

The heaviest precipitation is expected in the first two to three hours of onset and road conditions could “deteriorate” during this time.

Many parts of southern Ontario are set to experience the snowfall, including London-Middlesex, Windsor-Essex, and Waterloo-Wellington.

A total of 10 winter weather advisories have been issued in the region ahead of the storm.

Last week, Ontario got a dose of harsh winter weather too, with heaps of snow and strong gusts of wind.

According to The Weather Network, it’ll get a whole lot colder next week in the province, with temperatures struggling to reach -10 C.
