Two COVID-19 deaths, 189 new cases reported in Saskatchewan

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (HKPR) District Health Unit says there is 1 new COVID-19 case locally as of today (Mar 2), which is in Kawartha Lakes.

And Ontario is reporting 966 new cases today, and 11 more deaths related to the virus.

It says more than 22-thousand-300 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered since the last report.

So far, more than 727-thousand doses have been administered across Ontario.

The HKPR District Health Unit now has 416 cases resolved and 17 unresolved

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 1,032 cases of COVID-19 in the HKPR District Health Unit area.

The health unit has listed 53 as high risk contacts in Northumberland, meaning 53 Northumberland County residents have recently been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
