More vaccine sites are becoming available in Evansville, including the Walmart on Burkhardt Road.
At this time, appointments to get a vaccine at Walmart can only be made through the company’s online scheduler, which can be found by visiting Walmart.com/covidvaccine.
Before making an appointment, individuals are asked to make sure they meet their state’s requirements for eligibility to get a COVID-19 vaccine at this time.
In addition to appointments, the scheduler will provide a digital reminder when it is time to return for the second vaccine.
Walmart said all of their pharmacists will receive specific training on the vaccines they are administering.
Another retailer approved to be a COVID-19 vaccine site in Indiana is Meijer. While the Evansville Meijer doesn’t yet have vaccines available, people can still register and wait for vaccines to become available.
Individuals can go online to clinic.meijer.com/ or text COVID to 75049. Registrations can also be made by visiting a Meijer pharmacy in-person.
