One dead, four seriously wounded in shooting in Etobicoke: police

One person is dead and four others have been injured following a shooting in an Etobicoke neighbourhood Sunday afternoon.

Police said they were called to the Willowridge Road and Eglinton Avenue West area at around 2:21 p.m.

Police say there were reports a man got out of a car and started shooting before fleeing the scene in a black-coloured vehicle.

Officers found five victims including one person with no vital signs. He was later pronounced dead.

Paramedics say they transported four people to a trauma centre in serious condition.

Bullet holes have also been discovered in nearby buildings, prompting officers to search the area for more victims.
