An injured man was unconscious and another sustained an abdomen wound after gunfire rang out in the Oakridge area of Scarborough on Monday night.

Toronto Police were called to the Warden Ave.-Firvalley Ct. area for a shooting shortly after 7 p.m.

Initial reports said a man was found conscious and breathing after being shot in the abdomen. Police later said a second man was located and had been shot in the chest and was “unconscious/not breathing.”

Paramedics were treating that man at the scene before rushing him to hospital, while the second was taken to a trauma centre.

Toronto Police brought in its K-9 units to help with the investigation.

Police said two firearms and ammunition were recovered.
