RCMP in Okotoks have arrested a suspect in relation to a double stabbing that took place over the weekend.
On Sunday, officers attended the Riverbend Campground near Okotoks for reports of a double stabbing. They found a man and a woman had been stabbed multiple times. Both victims were taken to hospital in stable condition.
On Wednesday, police said they had arrested Ryan Bain, 38, of Calgary in relation to the stabbings.
Bain is charged with two counts of attempted murder, theft of a motor vehicle, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and possession of a dangerous weapon.
He has been remanded into custody and will next appear in court April 1.
