The 28-year-old suffered numerous injuries after her dirt midget car flipped during a POWRI Racing event in Grain Valley, MO.
Balcaen was admitted to a hospital where they determined she had a collapsed lung, concussion and a few small burns. Balcaen, who stars in a show on CMT called Racing Wives, provided an update on Twitter Sunday night. “Xrays done and my lung is looking much better,” wrote Balcaen. “Should be cleared to leave the hospital tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for the prayers and wishes. The support and help from the racing community never ceases to amaze me.”
In another tweet, Balcaen said she isn’t sure what led to her cap flipping.
Mayor Brian Bowman took to Twitter to wish Balcaen well.
