Fans still itching for more Twilight following the release of Midnight Sun might just have their prayers answered by Stephenie Meyer.

The Guardian reports series author Stephenie Meyer isn’t quite done with telling tales about vampires and werewolves.

News that Meyer has more Twilight up her sleeve comes via a virtual Books-A-Million live event the author took part in earlier this week.

During the virtual live event, Meyer reveals to fans that there are actually two more stories set in the universe that she’d like to write.

“There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write,” said Meyer according to USA Today. “I have got them outlined and a chapter written I think of the first one, so I know it’s there.”

Twihards itching to know when Meyer might bestow the other two stories she’s got cooking will have to sit tight for now. As the bestselling author went on to explain, it sounds as if she’s not quite ready to put pen to paper just yet.

“I am not ready to do that right now,” said Meyer of the two other books she’d like to write. “I want to do something brand new. For me, the joy of writing comes from creating and I really want to do a new world and new rules and new mythology. Mythology is kind of my thing.”

In the mean time, I guess that means it’s time for Twihards to put their thinking caps on and theorize with regards to what the two other Twilight books might entail.

It’s certainly possible that perhaps Meyer might feel inclined to continue rewriting the series from Edward’s point of view as she did with Midnight Sun. At the same time, there’s no denying that there are no shortage of characters with rich histories for her to explore.

Regardless, we’ll be looking forward to hearing more about the projects whenever Stephenie Meyer feels so inclined to share more details about them with us!
