Questions have been left unanswered after the Ragu pasta sauce brand has disappeared from grocery store shelves and left the Canadian market.
Over Twitter, the company said it has made the hard decision to leave Canada.
“We regret to inform you that RAGÚ® has made the hard decision to exit the Canadian pasta-sauce market,” said Ragu Sauce.
“We hope that you have enjoyed the delicious taste of RAGÚ® and are very sorry for any inconvenience.”

This has still left Canadian consumers wondering what went wrong.
“After careful consideration, Mizkan America, Inc., the maker of the RAGU® pasta-sauce brand, made the difficult decision earlier this year to exit the Canadian marketplace,” said Deborah Cross Director of Communications for Mizkan America, Inc., to Daily Hive.
“The decision is part of a realignment aimed at consolidating our brand offerings in the markets where we compete most effectively. We remain committed to leading the pasta-sauce category in North America,” said Cross.
Since June, the company has been responding to curious Canadians as to why they’re no longer able to purchase their sauces.
