Southern Manitoba’s first real snowfall of the season has left some tough driving conditions Wednesday morning.

Most areas of the south have seen around 3 and 5 cm of snow since Tuesday afternoon.

With temperatures just below freezing, many highways are both snow and ice-covered.

Listeners have reported the following conditions to CHVN before 5 a.m.:

Highway 1 to Highway 12: Snow-covered and icy

Highway 59 north of Winnipeg: Ice-covered, especially slippery on bridges

North Perimeter: Snow-covered and icy sections between Highway 59 and 7
