All passengers died after SUV crashed into tractor trailer near Parry Sound.
The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on Highway 69 in Shawanaga First Nation, about 15 kilometres north of Parry Sound, said Sgt. Carlo Berardi of Ontario Provincial Police.
A northbound SUV crossed the centre line and collided with the southbound transport.
Flames engulfed the passenger vehicle.
All the deceased were in the SUV. Police are still trying to confirm the number of occupants. Their names are not being released by police pending confirmation of identity and notification of next of kin.
Weather was clear and sunny.
The road was dry and bare.
Highway 69 was closed for about eight hours following the crash.
