Coronavirus Canada Updates: Trudeau confirms delivery of Pfizer vaccines by next week

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed in a press conference on Monday the delivery of a new COVID-19 vaccine produced byPfizer/BioNTech will arrive in Canada before the end of December, possibly allowing an national vaccination campaign to begin earlier than announced.

Trudeau said 249,000 doses of the vaccine are set to arrive in the month of December, with deliveries continuing to arrive into 2021.

– Three members of the Toronto Raptors organization tested positive for COVID-19 during the league-mandated testing period ahead of the NBA’s training camp, a statement released by the organization said.

The members of the organization who tested positive, who were not named, are continuing to self-isolate away from the rest of the team.

Follow-up testing has so far shown that there was no spread to the rest of the organization, the statement added.
