Two more Manitoba school divisions are moving to online learning this week.

The Garden Valley and Red River Valley School Divisions will move to remote learning, effective Tuesday and continuing until May 30.

The addition of those divisions means 373 schools in the province have now moved to remote learning, out of a total of 820.

Dr. Jazz Atwal, the province’s deputy chief provincial health officer, says social interaction and gatherings of children going to school or on their way home have been contributing to community transmission.
