Coronavirus Canada Updates: New Brunswick Has 10 New COVID-19 Cases; 16 Recoveries

Public Health reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick today with 16 new recoveries from Wednesday.

The total number of active cases has fallen to 121.

The Moncton Zone 1 region has the following two cases:

a person 20-29; and
a person 40-49.
One case is under investigation and the other is a contact of a previously confirmed case.

The Saint John Zone 2 region has one travel-related case involving a person 50-59.

The Fredericton Zone 3 region has a case involving a person 80-89 which is under investigation.

The Edmundston Zone 5 region has five cases:

two people 19 and under;
a person 20-29;
a person 30-39; and
a person 40-49.
Of these cases, two are contacts of a previous case, two are under investigation and one is travel-related.

The Bathurst Zone 6 region has one case involving a person 30-39 who is a contact of a previously confirmed case.

Three people are in hospital due to the virus, including one in an intensive care unit.

Public Health reported today that 75.6 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 84.8 per cent have received their first dose of a vaccine.
