New Brunswick health officials are expected to provide a provincial update on the coronavirus on Tuesday.
Premier Blaine Higgs will be joined by chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell for the 2:30 p.m. briefing.
On Monday, the province reported eight new cases of COVID-19 and said 273 active cases remain in the province.
The province reached the milestone of completing over 200,000 tests for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
New Brunswick has confirmed 1,264 cases of COVID-19 to date and reported 972 recoveries. There were also 18 deaths related to the virus as of Monday.
Zone 1 (Moncton region) remains at the red level and Zone 4 (Edmundston region) remains in a complete lockdown. All other zones remain in the orange level of New Brunswick’s COVID-19 recovery plan.
