Coronavirus Canada Updates: Ontario reports fewer than 1,900 COVID-19 cases, 27 more deaths today

The numbers are a significant drop since Thursday when Peel recorded an historic high in caseload with 572.

Overall, in Ontario today there are 1,746 new cases, with eight deaths reported due to the coronavirus.

Toronto has the most new cases today with 622. York Region has 217 new cases today.

In Ontario schools there are 102 new COVID-19 cases for a leading to a total of 670 schools across the province. Eighty-six students have the virus.

As for Ontario’s long-term care homes, 109 are dealing with outbreaks. In the past 24 hours two people have died in these facilities as healthcare experts deal with 710 cases.

The most recent numbers released by Peel’s health department are less current, but breaks down the information by municipality. The numbers also vary for those released by the Province.

As such, as of Saturday, Nov. 28, Brampton had 297 cases, Mississauga 120 and Caledon had 12.
