Last week, WHL players arrived in their home club’s city ahead of the 24-game shortened Central Division season.

Friday night, the league announced that of the 245 COVID-19 test administered among staff and players, there were no positive tests for the five Alberta teams.

Players, coaches and staff were tested twice between Feb. 6 and Feb. 12, using private PCR testing by DynaLIFE.

With that, teams were cleared to practice by the league.

The Red Deer Rebels will open the new season on Feb. 26, when they play host to the Medicine Hat Tigers.
