Ontario is reporting an additional 137 new cases in public schools across the province, bringing the total in the last two weeks to 4,623 and 6,356 overall since school began.
In its latest data released Monday morning, the province reported 114 more students were infected for a total of 1,430 in the last two weeks; since school began there have been an overall total of 4,330.
The data shows there are 23 more staff members infected for a total of 300 the last two weeks — and an overall total of 935.
The latest report also shows that no more infected individuals who weren’t identified for a total of three in that category in the last two weeks — and an overall total of 1,091.
There are 889 schools with a reported case, which the province notes is 18.4 percent of the 4,828 public schools in Ontario.
There are now 18 schools closed because of an outbreak.
