Coronavirus Canada updates: Potential COVID-19 exposure identified at CF Pacific Centre stores

Potential exposure to COVID-19 has been identified at a shopping mall in Downtown Vancouver.

Cadillac Fairview (CF) tells Daily Hive in an email that two retail stores — Bell Mobility and Sage — at CF Pacific Centre were potentially exposed to coronavirus.

A statement from CF says that both retailers “acted quickly and responsibly by contacting CF and Vancouver Coastal health.”

“At this point in time there is no further action required and the building can remain open for business,” reads an emailed statement.

The statement doesn’t specify, however, the exact time and dates that exposure occurred.

CF also says that they’ve implemented a number of health and safety measures such as “special cleaning in all common areas and high-touch points, implemented measures to ensure physical distancing, handwashing instructional signage,” and an increased “number of hand sanitizer stations.”

CF’s announcement comes shortly after two nightclubs, IVY Lounge and Levels Nightclub, were identified for potential exposure to the virus.
