Quebec public health has added 806 new COVID-19 cases, the province’s 11th consecutive day of fewer than 1,000 new cases.

The last time the province reported more than 1,000 new daily cases was on February 12, when 1,049 were announced.

The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux has added 17 coronavirus-related deaths to the provincial tally, five of which occurred over the past day. Seven deaths were attributed to cases between February 17 and 22, and five were from “earlier in February.”

The number of hospitalizations decreased by 25 compared to Tuesday, for a cumulative total of 655 across Quebec. Among these, the number of people in intensive care increased by ten for a total of 130.

Since Tuesday morning, 8,807 doses of vaccine were administered for a total of 376,910 across the province.

There are now 284,472 COVID-19 cases across the province, 266,138 recoveries, 10,346 deaths, and 2,720,845 negative tests.
