Coronavirus Canada updates: RCDHU testing 140 staff and students from Fellowes High School

Contact tracing and testing has started after a COVID-19 outbreak was declared at Fellowes High School in Pembroke.

CTV reports that 140 staff and students will be tested by the Renfrew County and District Health Unit.

The Pembroke high school was forced to close Wednesday afternoon after three staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The health unit says some staff members are showing symptoms, but nothing yet from students.

Reports indicate that the third staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 is believed to have been showing symptoms for a number of days during the first week back to school.

The Toronto Star reports that several teachers at Fellowes in Pembroke were not wearing masks, and educators not abiding by public health guidelines.
