For the fifth day out of the last seven, Ontario is reporting fewer than 400 new cases of COVID-19.
Provincial health officials confirmed 370 new infections on Sunday. A week ago, the province reported 443 new cases.
Of those new cases, 247 are in individuals who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
The seven-day average of new infections continues to fall, now down to 379 – the lowest level we’ve seen in over 10 weeks.
One additional COVID-related death was reported, raising the provincial total to 9,846.
The province administered 19,285 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday with 6,471 individuals receiving their first shot. Almost 84 per cent of eligible Ontarians 12-years and older are now considered fully vaccinated.
A total of 25,328 tests were processed in the previous 24 hour period for a positivity rate of 1.2 per cent.
