Ontario launched a COVID-19 vaccine appointment booking portal on March 15 for individuals to schedule their vaccinations but not every area in the province is using it.
Instead, some health units are using their own booking websites and call centres.
Find out which COVID-19 vaccine appointment booking system your area is using on the Government of Ontario website.
The province of Ontario COVID-19 vaccine appointment booking portal is at ontario.ca/bookvaccine, while those wishing to schedule by phone can call 1-888-999-6488.
The province’s booking portal was initially open to residents aged 80 and older, but officials later said it would be available for anyone 75 and older as of March 22 — ahead of schedule by at least two weeks.
A pilot program offering vaccines in some pharmacies is also expanding and starting on March 22, it will offer the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot to anyone aged 60 and older.
Residents aged 60 to 64 as of the day of vaccination or if you will be or have been 60 to 64 in 2021, with the birth years 1957 to 1961, will be eligible to book an appointment with one of the pharmacies.
