It hasn’t been the best week for Kathryn Dennis, after the news broke that she reportedly lost custody of her two kids to ex Thomas Ravenel, but she took to Instagram to let the world know she’s still smiling.

The Southern Charm star posted a new photo today with her six-year-old daughter Kensie, both with big wide smiles (though Kensie’s is adorably missing a tooth or two). In the caption she wrote, “Of all the names I’ve been called, Mommy is my favorite.” She also tagged the location as Charleston, South Carolina, as her past few posts on the social media site have been from a trip to Miami where Kathryn was modeling, dining, and living her best life with boyfriend Chleb Ravenell.

The results of her latest custody battle broke earlier this week, though Kathryn has yet to officially comment. She is also Mommy to four-year-old Saint, though Thomas has shared his plans to move the children to Aiken, South Carolina where he intends for them to enroll in private school for the fall, while Kathryn has been granted visitation with them every other weekend. It’s a stark contrast to this time last year when she had been living under the same roof with Thomas and the children. Kathryn filed a motion in December to seal the custody battle which was approved, and so the reasons for the custody loss will not be made public.

Kathryn did not have the easiest time on the most recent season of Southern Charm, but showed maturity and a genuine desire to learn and grow from last year’s social media mistakes on the two-part reunion which aired on Bravo last month. No official plans for Season 8 have been announced yet by the network.
