Police in Vancouver are investigating the city’s sixth homicide of the year, after a man was fatally stabbed overnight.
In a press release Sunday, the Vancouver Police Department says officers responded to a report of an assault at a home on East Vancouver’s Bruce Street just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, officers found a 23-year-old man who was “badly injured” outside the home. He later died from his injuries.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene and he remains in custody. The suspect and the victim were known to each other.
The VPD’s Major Crime Section is now investigating, and they’ve asked anyone with any information about the killing to call 604-717-2500.
