A man is dead following a shooting in North York on Thursday afternoon.
Police say they were called to a residence on Connaught Avenue in the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West at around 3:17 p.m.
When they arrived they discovered a man in his 30s suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life-saving measures before the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a weapon was recovered at the scene and an adult male, also in his 30s, was arrested. It’s not known at this time if there is a relationship between the suspect and the victim.
