Nova Scotia woman dies in Guysborough County crash

The RCMP are investigating a fatal accident that occurred in Guysborough last night.

At around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of the collision on Highway 16, Meaghers Hill.

They learned that a pick-up truck collided with a car at a slight curve in the highway between Old Monastery Road and Reddy’s Hill Road.

The car’s driver and sole occupant, a 74-year-old Larry’s River woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck’s driver, a 50-year-old Havre Boucher man, sustained minor injuries. He was also the sole occupant of his vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing and officers found no indication of drugs or alcohol being involved.
