Everyone wants a brand new PS5 but for many shoppers they have been waiting since November when the console was released.
Today GAME dropped many consoles and loads of shoppers were able to grab one including some scalpers who have been selling the console online.
And everyone is desperate to try and guess when the next PS5 drop will happen at a major retailer.
Well it appears according to one rumour, customers might not have to wait long to get one as Argos is in the process of restocking.
One Twitter restock account @PS5StockAlertUK Argos appears to have already restocked stores. They said: “Argos have restocked some stores yesterday, and are restocking all warehouses and hubs today.
“Just like last time, some smaller stores won’t be getting stock. But this hints a possible restock by Argos next week. It’s currently too early to claim which day”.
Many retailers have been keeping restocks close to their chests in order to prevent scalpers and massive waves of customers flooding to their sites.
Sony recently addressed the shortage across the world and blamed the semiconductor shortage that many customers are facing.
Speaking to Ars Technica, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki said that the manufacturing of PS5 consoles has taken a hit in the last few months. This is due to a lack of semiconductors and other components.
“It is difficult for us to increase production of the PS5 amid the shortage of semiconductors and other components,” Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki explained.
“We have not been able to fully meet the high level of demand from customers [but] we continue to do everything in our power to ship as many units as possible to customers who are waiting for a PS5.”
