One person was killed after a serious crash involving a logging truck in Cumberland Tuesday afternoon.
Comox Valley RCMP said it was responding to a serious collision at the Cumberland Road onramp to Highway 19 just before 3 p.m.
Comox Valley RCMP spokesperson Const. Monika Terragni told CHEK News the collision involved a logging truck and another vehicle, but did not have any more information about how the incident occurred.

First responders including an air ambulance responded. A coroner later attended the scene just after 4:30 p.m. A victim was still inside the vehicle when a second logging truck arrived to pick logs up off a crushed pickup truck.
A commercial vehicle inspector and RCMP crash investigators were also on scene.
Drivers were being asked to avoid the area to allow first responders to handle the situation.
