A Calgary police spokesperson says a woman in her 40s is facing several charges after a Victoria-bound flight had to be diverted to Calgary Thursday night.
Corbin Odland with Calgary Police says they were called around 11:30 p.m. to the Calgary Airport for an unruly passenger, whose actions escalated quickly on board the Air Canada Rouge flight from Toronto.
Police say the woman was taken to hospital for assessment.
Odland said the investigation is still ongoing and no further details could be released.
Air Canada says following a three-hour delay, the flight resumed to Victoria.
