As ballots continue to pour in across the Buckeye State, below are the latest election results for the 2020 race for president.
According to the Associated Press President Donald Trump has projected a win in Ohio.
President Donald Trump has taken the lead with 53.5 percent of the vote and getting 3,013,079 votes statewide.
Former Vice President Joe Biden took 45.1 percent of the 2,541,686 votes statewide.
Back in 2016, the president defeated Democratic Challenger Hillary Clinton by only eight percentage points, clinching the state’s 18 electoral votes.
The state only continued to show its battleground status this time around.
“Meet the Press” Anchor Chuck Todd said that if Joe Biden is going to make a comeback in Ohio, he is going to have to flip a whole bunch of ‘Obama/Trump’ counties.”
President Trump is closing the gap in Ohio, trailing Joe Biden by 150,000 votes.
