Three people were rushed to hospital following an early-morning shooting Saturday at a Portage Avenue hookah bar.
Police said officers were called to Spades Lounge and Hookah Bar in the 500 block of Portage near Langside Street after shots were fired at shortly after 1:10 a.m. The adult victims – two men and a woman – were taken to hospital where they remain.
Their condition is unknown at press time.
On Saturday morning, several Winnipeg Police vehicles were parked outside of the bar and the sidewalk in front of the building, which is between Langside and Young streets, was cordoned off with yellow police tape.
Several items could be seen on the ground within the police tape, including a pair of white sneakers, a small backpack and a piece of white fabric near a planter.
