One person has died after a small boat crashed near Woodbine Beach in Toronto’s east end.
The small bow-rider style pleasure craft crashed into the rocks at around 12:30 on Thursday afternoon.
Toronto Police say the man was pronounced dead in hospital. A total of seven people were hurt.
Toronto Paramedics say two other men were taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are expected to survive. Another man was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while three other refused transport to the hospital and were treated at the scene.
Police didn’t know whether a mechanical issue caused the crash.
